高田イングリッシュ・スクールのピーター・ドカティ校長から
「今すぐ使える」英語表現を学ぶコーナー「えますぐイングリッシュ」
去年5月から放送、今朝が最終回。
この上越地域の事を出来るだけ取り込んでもらいました。
まずは先週の復習から。
P: The snow has almost gone, and spring is just around the corner.
M: I hope so!
P: What’s spring like here in Joetsu?
M: Well, it’s the best time of the year.
P: Really.
M: Takada Park has a cherry blossom festival that is one of the best in Japan!
P: Wow! Why is it so good?
M: The trees are lit at night, so the night view of the blossom, the moat and the castle is beautiful!
P: Sounds nice. I’m looking forward to it already.
今年で第93回を迎える高田公園の観桜会がテーマでした。
お堀は「moat」。Let’s learn by heart!
そして今朝は、主に外国人に「さようなら」という表現。
P: Ah, my bullet train is due soon. Joetsu Myoko Station has made travelling very convenient.
M: What will you miss about Joetsu?
P: Of course I’ll miss Takada Park, the beaches at Naoetsu and the view of the mountains.
M: I see.
P: But most of all I’ll miss the friendly people of Joetsu. Oh, here comes my train.
M: It was great to see you. Good bye.
P: All the best Minobu, Goodbye.
何度も「goodbye」と言う必要はなし、というアドバイス。
だけどコーナー最後に何度も「goodbye」と言って、
リスナーさんのウケを狙うピーター先生（＾ω＾）
